“There is no love without hope, no hope without love, and neither love nor hope without faith.”
~ St. Augustine, Theologian, philosopher, and Bishop of Hippo Regis in Namibia

There’s a lot going on right now, isn’t there? Two full moons this month, a pandemic, and elections to name a few things. The upcoming full moon which is also known as a blue moon or Harvest moon usually represents a time for hunters to prepare for the Winter and stockpiling food. How many of you believe you’ve already been stockpiling food with these “stay at home” times? LOL Regardless, this has also been a time to forgive and love ourselves and not lose faith in one another or humanity; a time to feel the sparks of hope within us ignite! I realize that at times this seems hard to do.

We are resilient and can create amazing things in our lives in spite of what seems like insurmountable odds, at times – we persevere! Many of you can relate to this I’m sure. Faith, hope, and love help us continue moving forward. I believe that our true nature comes from love. We are human beings and deep within us our core essence is love. Part of our journey is to remember this! Love is the greatest transformer of all. When you feel uncertain, anxious, overwhelmed or are creating new ways of being for yourselves remember to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Bring your awareness into your heart space and imagine tapping into the source and pool of love deep within you. Swim in it. Feel it. Do you feel more peaceful and centered? How about feeling more hopeful? Has your faith been restored? Do you feel calmer? Breathe!

Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist reminds us that, “Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.” Yes, life is always changing and what seems like a hardship today may look different tomorrow as long as we don’t lose faith and hope. What if, for a few moments, you set aside what’s happening in the world around you and remember the seeds of creativity, dreams, and visions you have planted since the Spring? What is ready to harvest? Have you let go of what it will look like? Will you allow it to be different than what you imagined? This is the beauty of you as creator, master gardener/farmer/artist/etc. Let your harvest be bountiful in ways that are magical and new. Allow the seeds of hope to grow and blossom. Let love emerge. Allow your faith to remind you that you’re not alone and in each moment you can make conscious choices that will change your experience.

The past has brought you to this moment now. The choices you make now will determine your future. “Mahatma Gandhi, Lawyer, politician, activist, and writer reminds us that, “The future depends on what we do in the present.” Remember to trust and nourish faith, hope, and love. Watch them grow within you!
