“There is no love without hope, no hope without love, and neither love nor hope without faith.” Saint Augustine, Theologian and philosopher

How are you? I hope you’re finding ways to stay cool! Climate change seems to be front and center all over the world with record breaking heatwaves right now. It seems that climate issues and solutions have become another way to create division among our politicians. I’ve found myself reflecting on the light that is shining brightly on everything that seems to be broken in our world. At times it feels overwhelming and I’m reminded that in order for change to occur what’s broken must first be revealed. What prevents solutions from being created to move forward? I wonder if the fear of losing power, prestige, and wealth play a part. How often does this kind of fear prevent each one of us from changing and moving forward? I take a deep a breath and focus on my heart space – the space where I feel the deep well of love within me. It’s here that love moves through me and the spark of hope ignites. I have faith that there are solutions to be found individually and for the world. I ask myself, “What’s mine to do?” I recognize that what’s being revealed is bigger than me!

American poet and civil rights activist, Maya Angelou, has said that, “It is this belief in a power larger than myself and other than myself which allows me to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable.” This requires being willing to take a leap of faith, trust ourselves and instincts to know what’s right for us. Each one of us can choose where our passion lies if we want to be involved. The more conscious our choices are the more effective we can be. I believe in the power of intention and it can be used effectively by an individual or group. Other choices to be personally involved can include volunteering for committees, community efforts, or writing letters to leaders who represent your interest and passion. Aligning with groups who peacefully protest to bring awareness to an issue that you feel passionate about is another way to be involved as a change agent. Remember, chaos precedes and follows change but I have faith and hope that change will happen if we draw from the deep well of love within us.

We are LOVE and each one of us is a part of Source. We are interconnected. Our thoughts, words, and actions can make a difference. What one of us does impacts everyone. American author, Wilferd Peterson, has said that, “The world needs less heat and more light. It needs less of the heat of anger, revenge, retaliation, and more of the light of ideas, faith, courage, aspiration, joy, love, and hope.” I have faith that with enough light shining from each awakened soul warrior positive changes can happen. Let’s no longer be complacent and use our thoughts, words and actions to create a world of peace, love, acceptance, joy, abundance, health, equality, unity, beauty, and so much more! Sending love to each one of you. Have an amazing week!
