“Imagine a new story for your life and start living it.”
Paulo Coelho, Brazilian lyricist and novelist

How often do you allow your imagination to come out and play? Has it become less as you’ve grown from being a child and become an adult? I wonder why that is? Recently I’ve been hearing John Lennon’s song Imagine playing over and over in my head. The words touch my soul and I feel goose bumps. As I listen to it I remember, once again, that we are creators of our reality. We are master gardeners, artists, and writers of our stories as well. No one else is in charge of our lives but each one of us unless we give our power to someone else.

What if you imagined a new story for your life? What if you stand in your power and dive deep within and set your imagination free? Let it play and run wild for awhile. What do you have to lose? Albert Einstein, Theoretical physicist has said that “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” How often do we limit possibilities and our imagination based on our past experiences, perceptions and beliefs? I believe it happens too often!

Let’s play and color outside the lines for a change! Set aside a few moments to quiet your thoughts and release any perceived limitations. Imagine a lush and fertile garden that is flourishing. Imagine your creativity and artistry flowing freely. Don’t worry about it being perfect! Just play! Write, sing, draw, paint, plant some flowers, feel and immerse yourself in beauty – imagine! Paulo Coelho encourages us to start living our new stories. Will it be easy? For some of you it might be and for others it might be more challenging.

Feeling comfortable with the way things are and old habits may seem easier to hang on to rather than changing the status quo. That’s ok. Change only happens if you want it to and it may not happen immediately. You have to feel excited and take steps to change – making a conscious choice! Imagine it first and see how you feel! Is it really something that feels right and you’re willing to change enough to experience it? Maybe not. It’s ok!

What if more of us come together and imagine a better world, a world of peace, like John Lennon, English singer, songwriter, musician, and peace activist sings, “Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us and the world will live as one.” This is something I dream and imagine. I want the world to be a better and more inclusive place for everyone! As I hold space for this change I continue to become more peaceful, loving, accepting, kind, understanding, compassionate, and so much more. This is all happening within me and as I see resistance I choose to let go of it or not. It’s up to me! Of course I ask for help when it’s beneficial! Play and imagine a new story that you are willing to live! Have fun! Know how much you are loved!
