“Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.” Wayne Dyer, American self-help and spiritual author and motivational speaker

How many times have you heard, “Let go of things that no longer serve you?” Quite a few probably. I’ve written about it in a variety of ways in past newsletters. Recently, someone asked, “How do you fill up the space that is left when you let go of things?” So I began to think about abundance and prosperity. Releasing things that no longer serve me – things like old habits, beliefs, vows, and perceptions – limiting things. Rather than feel limited why not feel abundant and prosperous? Can you imagine your life as an overflowing cup of abundance and prosperity instead of one that’s partially full or empty?

Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Buddhist monk reminds us that, “For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them.” How often do we restrict possibilities by limiting our view of what outcomes can be? Why not hold a belief deeply embedded within that all things are possible and we deserve to live the best life possible, an abundant and prosperous life? For those of you who like to feel ‘in charge or control things’ this might present a challenge. Take it from me, I have always wanted to know the outcome and how things end. It’s been a lifelong journey of learning to allow what’s possible. In doing this, the outcome is always better than I imagined.

What does a life filled with abundance and prosperity feel and look like to you? Financial security comes to mind for many people. For me, it’s more of a state of being or a mindset. It’s more expansive than financial security. It means having. Wayne Dyer reminds us that doing what you love is key to having abundance in your life. Are you doing what you love and living your best life? Abundance and prosperity can be limitless when we don’t restrict what it means. Does this make sense?

Are you ready to fill your cup so that it overflows with wealth in relationships, knowledge, wisdom, health, income, beauty, love, peace, equality, acceptance, unity, and so much more? Your imagination is the only limitation. Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor and philosopher suggests, “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”

My morning routine, before getting out of bed, is to offer prayers of gratitude. I include everything I’m grateful for in my life including being alive another day on the Earth! There’s no right or wrong way to do this! Tune into your soul and heart and feel the truth of your gratitude. Afterward I feel my cup overflowing with abundance and prosperity. It’s a great way to begin the day instead of dreading getting out of bed! May your cup overflow as well!
