“The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion, and the will to help others.”
~ Albert Schweitzer, Theologian, physician, humanitarian, philosopher, and writer

Lately, it seems like I’m riding an emotional wave at unexpected times. How about you? One day this week I felt my heart breaking and my soul cried out, “Enough! It’s time to stop and treat one another as equals with compassion and kindness.” So much seems broken right now; however, I believe we are being shown things that have been broken for many many years and now is the time for them to come into the light. Many people believe that we are at a tipping point, a time to make changes.

Instead of wallowing in despair and hopelessness I took a few deep breaths and moved into my heart space then focused on what I’m grateful for in my life. There are so many things including: I’m grateful for the awakening of more human beings and for the opportunity to BE more consciously responsible and accountable for my choices in ways I haven’t been in the past. There is a clarion call for change and each one of us can play a role.

I wondered, “What if we treated one another as equals? What if we looked deeply within ourselves and noticed what we still hold separate? Are we courageous enough to claim and integrate them? Is change possible?” Yes, I believe it is and I’m hopeful. I recently was invited to listen to The Turning sung by Justin Michael Williams, Author, recording artist, and transformational speaker. The refrain reinforced the spark of hope within me, “Listen to the sound of the turning tide where all men walk side-by-side, where man sees himself in his brother’s eyes, where Mother Earth no longer cries, no longer, longer, cries.” So beautiful! I believe this vision is possible if enough of us believe.

Often clients ask me, “Why am I here?” I share what I’ve believed for many years – we are here to help one another and to remember that we are a part of the one Source – God, Goddess, All That Is. For me, this is a part of LOVE! We are all part of the whole and connected. We aren’t separate from God, rather, we are a creation of and part of that which many call God. We are LOVE at our core.

Considering the current world situation and the environment in the United States today there is an opportunity to make conscious choices for something greater through service, compassion, and helping others. I realize that there’s no magical “one size fits all” answer as to how we do it. It is really an individual and unique choice. It depends on what makes you happy and how passionate you feel about it. Albert Einstein, Theoretical physicist said, “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” Why do you think you’re here? Let your imagination and creativity dance and run wild! It’s up to you! Have fun! Please know how much I love you!
