Intuition plays an important part in my day-to-day life. Actually, I believe it plays a big part in EVERYONE’S life.., some of us just have the volume turned down so low, it is harder to hear! But.., that’s another story! What I am noticing this week is that sometimes, when we need it the most, our intuition has a tendency to hide!
Okay, the truth is when I get excited and start exploring possibilities, my intuition takes a lunch break! That is what is going on right now. I am considering a new project that has lots of possibilities, some unknown, some risk, some rewards. Basically there are several possible ways I could see this project going.
When I talk to some of my closest allies, they all ask the same thing: “What is your intuition telling you?” Aaahhgh… I don’t know! Instead, my mind wants to make-up what my intuition is telling me! My mind barters, makes deals and contrives multiple ‘what if’ scenarios. My mind knows nothing about intuition! If it did, it would know that ‘intuitive hits’ are definitive! They are yes or no. ‘Maybe’ is not an intuitive hit!
That is until I remember that there are always multiple ways for us to grow, learn and evolve. And isn’t that where our intuition really supports us? It points out open doors when there are new opportunities; or tells us when it is time to close one. It tells us when the path we are on is leading us in a circle. Our intuition points us towards (or away from) those people and experiences that are most aligned with our Soul’s journey.
So often, when what we are considering is a viable option, but not the only option, our intuition hides. It reappears once we have made a choice. Once we have selected a direction or option. This happens simply because it is our choice.
So with the absence of my intuition, the question usually becomes, “Would this be fun?”
And of course it might be fun and scary at the same time! That is where I am at. And so I will be putting myself through some mental gymnastics and combing through the ‘What ifs’… So that when I have finally locked in on what seems logical and right; when I am ready to take the next step; my intuition can return from its lunch break and quietly whisper Yay or Nay!

I especially like what Abraham has to say about this kind of dilemma. “If you are having trouble making a decision, perhaps you need to gather more data” Often when I do this, things break lose and soon my intuition is back, fully in the game.
Good advice Sandy! Sometimes I think all I do is gather data… But you know, I like lots of data! Why resist it!

Your comment hit home with me…I have a couple projects going on right now where I am questioning my intuition….I was TOTALLY being nudged to do something, got a firm “DO it!” but now I am thinking….what was this about?, why was it so clear to do it and I can’t figure out what it is doing besides costing money and making me busy! Can’t wait to see what this one was all about!!!!
I think we’re sharing the same boat Heather! I have said several times, I completely get that some of these projects I am guided to do… But, where are the procedures, rules or directions!! A little intuitive help please!! 🙂

Intuition, especially for the Empath isn’t merely discernment, a compass, or a feeling that is sometimes correct and sometimes wrong – it is an instrument. An instrument requires tuning, care, calibration and proper application. Equally, as any fine measuring instrument necessitates – intuition requires care and integrity in its use. A precision measuring device that is used to pry open a rusted steamer trunk is not likely to perform well when returned to use for gauging microns of thickness for positioning a high velocity motor shaft. The same is true for the application of intuitive gifts. Intent and integrity of purpose is what will determine the care you’ve given to your instrument of empathic interpretation, or intuitive insight.
The more one uses their intuitive sense, the more one develops reliance upon it. The more one relies upon intuition, the more developed it becomes. Most people with a developed sense of energetic honesty and accountability, gradually and consistently expand their intuition to a powerful degree of performance. This means the lesson of ‘loss or reduction’ of intuition is generally one that comes along later in life, or in the life of someone fairly developed in his or her spiritual evolution- or inner connectedness to personal morality (life generative relationship) – whether its derivative is Humanist or Divine. The lessons of Mastery.
Know your intent and your purpose for intuition’s higher awareness, and it will read like a GPS. The best way to understand whether we have adulterated our purpose or intent where intuitive modalities are concerned – is the feeling of fulfillment or satisfaction we gain. Intuition is neutral. Are we anxious to convey this gift? Do we need to? Are we disappointed if we don’t? Are we dependent financially or otherwise on intuition for its on demand performance? Answer those questions honestly, and we can predict where we are headed on our intuitive path – without the use of our intuition to do so.
If applying Empathic intuition (or anything else) fulfills a need in us – positive or negative – its purpose does not operate in the neutrality to afford resolution or healing on any subject to which it is applied. This is particularly true when working with clients. It can be a deceptive experience to feel good about something. It would seem as though feeling good would always be a good thing. Often times however, especially for those practicing treatment of others, feeling exhilaration or feeling let-down in the diametric of accomplishment and failure – means the application of gifts is not for the client, but for the practitioner – and that in and of itself is rarely if ever the calling of a healer or teacher. For the sojourner – the neutrality remains equally relevant. Often we try to intuit with the read-out being a yes-or-a-no. If we reflect however – the most powerful – the most transformative – the utmost magical placements into synchronistic flow … have occurred with little emotion – quietly – in a knowing that is not founded in the affirmative or the negative. It is not transient like emotionalism because it includes the navigation of purpose and resolution. It is that same pull I believe that governs migration in the wild and the miraculous knowing for a destination to which one has never been.

Hi Charles you are special I love your vulnerability and intelligence. In a nut shell what works for me is I invite a person who has passed in my life or an Arch angel Michael or Gabriel because they love me and wants the best for me? Then sometime I will hold an object of there’s or sit quiet and reminisce, burn a candle, open a car door for them to rake a ride with me, invite one to sit in a chair you just cleaned off just for them.( It’s about honoring there presence) than while standing and ask questions if You rock forward they say yes if I go back it’s a no and if I sway to the side means keep asking there is something else that might not be revealed.
