Lately, everything feels like it’s in a state of flux. Not just in my life, but everywhere. The world is shifting so quickly that even when I’m sitting still, I feel off balance.

So much of this stems from the nature of where we are in our evolving journey. Maybe that’s why so many people long to “go back” to an easier, better, or more comfortable time.

But even if that time did exist, it was fleeting—and different for everyone. What felt like a golden era for some was challenging for others or completely uneventful for most. It’s like reminiscing about high school glory days—great in hindsight, but life keeps moving forward.

And so does humanity. We evolve, whether we like it or not. Some of us try to keep up, while others feel that nagging sense of being left behind.

We live in a digital world where technology touches every aspect of our lives. AI, once the villain of science fiction, is here—and it’s reshaping the world in ways we’re only beginning to grasp. Not in the dystopian nightmare of machines waging war against humanity, but in ways that are changing industries, from finance to medicine.

Medical advancements are accelerating because AI can analyze massive amounts of data in seconds, offering solutions that used to take decades. These breakthroughs are undeniably positive, yet they still leave many of us feeling unsettled. Even the good changes can be disorienting. We don’t just have to understand them—we have to integrate them into our lives.

Years ago, I decided I would try to understand cryptocurrency and blockchain security. It was the next big thing, and I figured I should at least have a grasp of it. Well, I don’t understand it any better today than I did back then. I thought I’d eventually find an expert to explain it to me in simple terms, but that expert still hasn’t appeared.

If you’re anything like me, all of this can make you want to crawl into a hole—or find a time machine that will take you back to the good old days.

But that’s not the answer. It never has been.

Instead, it’s time to focus on your SELF—not just yourself, but your well-being. Managing stress, eating well, moving your body, spending time in nature, listening to music that lifts you, getting good sleep, and tuning into your own internal guidance.

What works for me may not work for you. We all need different doses of the same things, in a way that fits our own rhythm.

Yes, the world moves fast. But you don’t have to keep up with it all at once. Small acts of self-care can help you feel more grounded, more present.

Find your own pace. That’s more than enough.
