Did I mention I’ve been writing fiction lately? Actually, I’ve been on a roll for almost six months. I’ve finished two crime thrillers in a series and am already halfway through the third. It’s been a blast.

And… it’s been very different from writing weekly articles or the non-fiction, self-help content you’re probably more familiar with.

For years, writing has been my way of making sense of life’s ups and downs—a stream-of-consciousness process to explore mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual impacts. I’ve said many times: writing has been my therapy.

But writing fiction? It’s a whole new world. My creativity feels like it’s off the charts. It’s fun. It’s deeply rewarding in a way I didn’t expect.

What surprises me most is how thrilling it is to write a mystery—almost as much as it is to read one. I might start with an idea of where the story’s headed, but the truth is, I’m constantly shifting timelines, tweaking character arcs, and making sure everything feels believable and consistent.

And while I trust synchronicity in everyday life, I often laugh at how unrealistic it can seem in fiction. Things that would feel like magic in real life just seem too convenient on the page!

There’s still a lot to do before these books are ready for print or publication. But I trust the process. I’m open to whatever unfolds. Already, I’ve experienced moments of undeniable synchronicity—what I like to call the magic behind the scenes. I expect them, of course. But I still laugh at how unbelievable they might seem to anyone else—except maybe you.

Every day, I’m reminded of the principles of intentional living that have been at the heart of Storm Wisdom for the past 16 years: Own your Authority, Stay Present, Follow the Energy, Use your Intuition—and more.

So how about you? Are you exploring any new creative pursuits? Are there areas of intentional living showing up for you in surprising ways?
