Even as I begin typing this, I hear a narrator’s voice in my head saying, “There comes a time in every person’s life when…”
And while I don’t know if that’s always true, for me, this is that time.
It’s a time to ask for help, insights, ideas, and guidance. Specifically about this incredible business I created over 15 years ago: Storm Wisdom.
Over the years, Storm Wisdom has evolved through many iterations, and most recently, we made a big move to a new space. This decision, as some of you know, was driven by finances. 2023 was an especially challenging year. I thought that cutting expenses would be enough to stabilize things, but the truth is, we need more than that.
We have so much going for us:
• A unique shopping and gift-giving experience with an extraordinary assortment of crystals from around the world at all price levels.
• Beautiful art, jewelry, ceramics, soaps, and more made by local artisans and makers.
• A curated collection of unique vintage finds that adds surprise and character to each visit.
And beyond that, we have a passionate and dedicated team.
Gisela and Millie have been part of Storm Wisdom since the beginning, bringing their unique strengths to every interaction. Gisela excels at creating a personalized customer experience with her incredible organization and oversight. Millie has a gift for helping people feel seen and heard, using humor to make them feel at ease while delivering exceptional service.
As for me, I love systems, processes, and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.
But here’s the thing: none of us are marketing or PR experts. We’re not particularly tech-savvy, which is why our online store is more of a showcase than a functional platform. And while we have a social media presence, it’s not as strong as it could be.
This is where my request comes in.
I’m looking for ways to bring more people into the store—ways for more people to discover what makes Storm Wisdom unique. Over the past few years, our sales and profits have declined, and it’s clear we need to take some new steps.
