Thoughts Matter!

I can’t believe it’s February already! How are you feeling? There’s still a lot happening right now. Intense emotions. Strong words. More and more division and judgment of self and others being expressed. Also, I have heard many people engaging more and wondering how to change things. For me, it’s felt like riding a tidal wave of emotion that has included disappointment, bewilderment, hopelessness, beauty, compassion, love, and hope. What are you thinking and feeling right now?

As I’ve meditated this week what’s become clearer is that each one of us creates our own reality. I’ve known this for many years but it is integrating at deeper levels. So, as I see what’s going on around me I often wonder if I’m in an alternate reality! Have you ever felt like that? Abraham, who is channeled by Esther Hicks has said, “We didn’t say you’re creating what you want. We’re saying that you’re the creator of your own reality. We’re saying that you create what you think about.” Hmmm. Thoughts matter. Words matter. Actions matter.

Imagine that every thought you have creates a new and different reality. I’ve been told that our mind is so busy we have thousands of them during the day. Wow! Meditating helps me quiet my thoughts for awhile. It also helps me blend into the Oneness of All That Is. It’s where I feel inner peace, unconditional love and compassion for myself and others. It brings me back into my heart space and away from the drama that’s being created in the world. I feel so much better afterward and less “triggered” by what’s going on around me. When I’m finished meditating I remember that I’m right where I’ve chosen to be and experiencing what I’ve chosen to experience. I can see more clearly what’s mine and what belongs to others. Have you experienced this too?

When I feel like this I become more the observer of the drama rather than an actor in it. Does this make sense? Thoughts do matter! At this time I can reflect on what I’m creating in my life; what the relevance of what I’m observing means to me; and what if any actions are mine to take. In fact, reflecting on the dominant thoughts that have been occupying my mind happens as well. Then I have a choice to make don’t I? I can remain in my thoughts of denser energies or move into higher resonance energies. It’s my choice. I don’t know about you but I can drift into a range of frequencies on any given day. What keeps me more grounded and centered is meditating daily. Not for hours at a time but for as much time as I require in the moment. It varies. Staying present in the “Now” moment is what is real. So, ask yourself, “Where am I right now?” I’m right here!

If you find yourself moving into the denser and more negative energies take a deep breath in through your nose and imagine the higher resonance energies of love, compassion, and kindness coming in. Imagine releasing the denser energies out through your mouth. Do this a few times until you feel more centered, neutral and less triggered. Notice what’s different then without judging yourself resume your day!
